Welcome to the Site of a Hoosier who moved to the tropics.
Having been raised on a farm in Indiana, I knew somewhat about growing plants. However, there our crops were wheat, oats,
corn and soybeans. Now that I have moved to a tropical paradise, I am learning to grow plants which are somewhat new to me.
Of course, the things I know about plants in a temperate zone are somewhat transferable to the tropics. Still, I have a lot
to learn here.
Look at my pages. Then, feel free to contact me for helpful information in my growing experience.

I am learning, sometimes by trial and error, and sometimes because of my farming experience in younger years. I have had some
really good crops already on my 233 square meters of limestone where a mountain had been removed recently. I have had to pay
boys to bring in bags of topsoil to put on top of the limestone, and I had to buy cow manure and commercial fertilizers.
A lot has gone against my tropical hobby farming attempts. Yet, I rejoice in the good things I have already accomplished.
This has been a great experience. Read some of my stories of failures and successes on other pages of the site. Then, write
to give me suggestions or to ask if I have tried some particular product or method. I will appreciate it.
